Hobart FM is a community station serving the Greater Hobart area.

Programming specifically for the 50+ demographic, their content includes general music from all eras, specialist music programs and a range of programs presented by cultural groups from diverse backgrounds.

They aim to be the station of choice for the listener who wants companionship through hearing music and information they value presented by people who know and care about the programs they present.

As a community station they have a commitment to our community and their broadcast facilities provide groups the opportunity to promote their activities to the wider community.

The broadcast licence for Hobart FM is held by Hobart FM Incorporated, a not for profit association registered in Tasmania. They encourage listeners to become members of the Association, supporting them financially and attending our Annual General Meeting where the Committee of Management is elected.

They are a member station of the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) and a part of their funding is provided by the Federal Government through the Community Broadcasting Foundation (CBF).
