The land of five rivers has seen various seasons which have been expressed by various writers of different ages in their writings. Thus, empowering the rich culture and tradition of the pious land. Since, the technology is increasing day by day, and the life is getting faster and faster with every second, the role of literature becomes very crucial. Tilcholi is a Punjabi short story written by Mohan Bhandari which is the enterprise of 'Rauki' To 'Lala Raunk Mall'.

The protagonist of the story passes through many ups and downs throughout his life. All the stages that he pass shape his identity and ultimately transforms him to a very different person as compared to what he was used to.

Yet he realises that this transformation has a price to pay which indeed dilutes his originality and the roots that he comes from...
